Visund Sør
Visund Sør is an oil and gas field in the North Sea, operated by Equinor Energy AS. The map shows the owners, the facilities, the pipelines, where the production comes ashore, the loading onto ships and the possible onward routes.

Notes
- Oil loaded onto ships has no fixed route after the field. The buyers are not known.
- Gas is mixed in the pipeline network. A «possible route» is a pipeline connection onwards from a junction or an onshore plant, not a measure of where the field's gas actually goes.
- The arrows show direction, not volume. The direction is Sodir's from → to for each pipeline; Sodir has no flow per pipeline.

Rigs and offshore vessels that lay within 2 km of a facility at under 1 knot for at least 30 minutes, according to the AIS positions for 1 Oct 2026 from the Norwegian Coastal Administration. Kystdatahuset publishes the history about a week late. A visit shows that the vessel was there, not who it worked for. Method: A visit is a continuous stay within 2 km of a facility at under 1 knot for at least 30 minutes, computed from the AIS positions. Gaps in the data of up to 60 minutes, or 3 hours when the vessel is in the same place before and after, do not count as interruptions. Hours are the sum of the visits. Only rigs and vessels with an offshore register type or registered with the Norwegian Offshore Directorate are included.

Who charters a rig or vessel, and at what rate, is not in open data. A vessel is linked to a field only when AIS shows it within 2 km of one of the field's own facilities or its host facility, at under 1 knot – that says the vessel was there, not who it works for. Facilities on the export route do not count. Tankers loading oil from production ships (FPSOs) and loading buoys are not included. Supply vessels per base are based on reported departures (SafeSeaNet). The destination is usually just the sea area (“Offshoreinst. Nordsjøen”, “… Barentshavet”), so the field the vessel supplies is not stated. Peterhead is British and has no departures in Kystdatahuset. AIS coverage offshore varies. A vessel without positions for a period may have been there without being recorded. Ship data: Norwegian Coastal Administration. Not for navigation.

Last 12 months (7 Oct 2025–7 Oct 2026). Rigs: derived by OESA from Sodir's wellbores. An event when a moveable rig spuds a development or exploration well for another operator, or more than 3 km from its previous wellbore in another field or licence. Check against Statistics Norway
For the whole shelf the method gives NOK 1,180.9 bn for Aug 2025–Jul 2026. Statistics Norway's export value for crude oil, condensate, pipeline gas, LNG, propane and butane was NOK 1,107.3 bn, −6.2% against the estimate. Month by month the difference ranged from −10.5% (June 2026) to −1.0% (January 2026); Statistics Norway was below the estimate in all 12 months. Crude oil and condensate in the trade statistics (commodity numbers 2709.0009 and 2709.0001) were 93% of oil and condensate production, and pipeline gas (2711.2100) was 94% of gas production in the same months. On top of this, 4.35 million tonnes of LNG (2711.1100) were exported. Statistics Norway reports LNG only in tonnes, so it is not included in the gas percentage. The prices in Statistics Norway's export statistics differed on average by −0.8% from Brent and −0.7% from the gas price, but by up to −10.7% for oil in a single month (June 2026). Exports of propane and butane averaged 58% of NGL production converted to tonnes, so the NGL price only covers part of the products.
How the estimate is calculated
Estimated gross sales value, calculated by OESA: for each field and month, (oil + condensate) × 6.2898 bbl/Sm³ × Brent (USD/bbl) × USD/NOK, gas × 0.011111 MWh/Sm³ (40 MJ) × European gas price (EUR/MWh) × EUR/NOK and NGL ÷ 1.9 Sm³ o.e. per tonne × NGL price (NOK/tonne) are added up. A company's figure is the field value times the equity share in force on the 15th of each month, summed over the fields and the group's legal entities. These are not the companies' own figures. Prices in July 2026: Brent USD 83.76/bbl, gas in Europe USD 18.06/mmbtu (EUR 53.97/MWh), NGL NOK 5,142/tonne, USD/NOK 9.7064 and EUR/NOK 11.0822. Sources of error: Brent and TTF are benchmark prices. Actual sales prices depend on crude quality, timing of sales, contracts and hub (NBP, THE, PEG, ZTP). The production month is not the sales month: cargoes are lifted and sold at other times (over/underlift, storage). The energy content of gas is set to 40 MJ/Sm³ for all fields, and NGL to 1.9 Sm³ o.e. per tonne. Both vary between fields. NGL is priced with Statistics Norway's export price for propane and butane; ethane and other NGL products may have other prices. Transport tariffs (Gassled), tax (78%), costs and hedging are not deducted. The figure is market sales value, not netback at the field or profit. LNG from Melkøya is priced as pipeline gas.
